PROJECT OVERVIEW

Snafu is an Italian underground art collective that established a platform that leverages the new power NFTs have brought to the art world to provide a steadier revenue stream to the global and local art community.

The collective created a colorful and engaging platform (also called Snafu) where artists can mint their work as NFTs and interact directly with patrons and collectors. Snafu also issued a token with the same name, dedicated to creating a DAO that will decide how to sustain the artistic collective's initiatives, financing projects, and young artists. This independent sustainability-oriented thinking positions Snafu in the first line with other art world pioneers to genuinely utilize and maximize the relatively young NFT market to reinvent how we deal and consume art.

The challenge

By introducing the benefits provided by NFT technology to create an environment that nurtures upcoming and veteran artists alike, Snafu is actively taking action to ensure its community's greater good - as well as concreting the artist's pivotal part in the progress and growth of the entire blockchain and NFT world.
As a field that currently relies significantly on the contribution of digital art, access to as many markets as possible is crucial for creating the capital and liquidity necessary for an industry to form. One of the barriers standing in front of Snafu and this reach was the complex and sometimes costly process of moving digital assets between different blockchains.
But although the Gnosis blockchain (formerly known as xDai) is a very healthy ecosystem that provided Snafu with an excellent infrastructure, the Snafu vision's realization required inter-chain ability that suits an NFT oriented platform. Inter-chain transfers of digital assets are the oxygen of this vision, and Snafu is determined to maintain and strengthen this flow.

One tool for
crossing the
barrier

On January 24th, Snafu and XP.NETWORK announced a partnership that opened the path between Snafu and the rest of the blockchain world. XP.NETWORK is the creator and developer of accessibility and mobility solutions to the entire NFT market. One of the first tools created for this cause is the first comprehensive cross-chain bridging solution meant especially for NFTs. The bridge is a simple, intuitive platform already utilized by several dApps and blockchains. After prior utilization of the bridge, Snafu integrated the bridge into its system, providing its community a broader reach to previously unreachable markets, enabling NFTs to flow freely between Snafu and the rest of the blockchain world, and strengthening the creator's status as the backbone of the NFT market.
