PROJECT OVERVIEW

XP.NETWORK recently introduced the algorithm of batch NFT transfers, which allows sending hundreds and even thousands of collectibles between any of the 20+ supported chains while minimizing transaction fees. One of the first beneficiaries of our new tech was ExoWorlds, a sci-fi NFT game originally powered by VeChain.

About ExoWorlds

ExoWorlds is a Sci-Fi MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) set in a faraway galaxy. You can enjoy world-building on your own planet, join the Senate and one of the factions, establish and break alliances, become a famous pirate or merchant and so on.

The game is designed with Unreal Engine 5 and features a very intricate design and powerful mythology. There are over 120 unique planet subtypes, each with its lifeforms and features and dozens of attributes.

And, of course, there are Play2Earn mechanics: you will earn tokens that can be used to buy weapons and gear in shops, construct buildings on your land and so forth. In other words, it’s an entire galactic metaverse.

ExoWorlds is also the first large-scale NFT project on VeChain rendered in 3D. VeChain is becoming popular with NFT platforms thanks to its efficiency and extremely low fees.

We’ve already mentioned ExoWords in our broader case study about the NFT ecosystem on VeChain and you’ll find this game on our Ecosystem page. But this time, we’d like to zero in on the groundbreaking bridging of more than 700 ExoWorlds NFTs, which illustrates XP.NETWORK's new technologies : NFT batch transfers and transaction cost minimization - which is valid for all types of transactions, be it the batch module, standard bridging or bridging via the XP.NETWORK widget.

XP.NETWORK batch-bridges 700 NFTs from VeChain to Ethereum

Batch-bridging is a new algorithm developed by XP.NETWORK – and we are justifiably proud of it. You can transfer any number of NFTs this way (even thousands), preserving all of their smart contract logic – including between EVM and non-EVM chains.

In this case, ExoWorlds wanted to become the GameFi cross-universe and cross-chain NFT project on VeChain. Its expansion plans cover Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Solana and even Cardano. The goal is for ExoWorld NFTs to be traded on all major marketplaces, attracting bigger audiences and deeper liquidity.

Most of the NFT games that XP.NETWORK works with espouse similar goals. While the game itself runs on an efficient chain like VeChain or MultiversX (Previously Elrond), launching collections on all chains helps bring in more collectors.

With batch transfers, this becomes even easier for project owners. Transaction costs are reduced by up to 50% for all chains. For ExoWorlds, we bridged a total of 700 collectibles to Ethereum – all in one go.

This is an essential step for the emerging cross-chain NFT industry. Sending one collectible after another to a different ecosystem is one thing; sending hundreds at a time is very different. Any GameFi game or collection that wishes to expand to other blockchains should consider batch-bridging as a high-speed and cost-efficient tool.
