Moonopolis is the first city in this metaverse, but users will be able to build their own cities or even countries – this is all part of Create2Earn. The platform will also provide a framework for creating 3D, AR, and VR experiences.

NFT Moon Metaverse goes multichain with XP.NETWORK

NFT Moon Metaverse was designed to be multichain – and the team chose XP.NETWORK as their partner for bridging NFT collections between chains. Not only XP.NETWORK has a very powerful NFT bridge with support for over 20 blockchains – we also provide a handy customizable bridging widget that projects can add to their websites. 

That’s what NFT Moon Metaverse did, launching an NFT Moon Bridge page. The XP.NETWORK-powered bridge works for avatars, ID cards, and virtual land plots. 

When a team applies to use the widget, we help them integrate those blockchains that are needed. Of course, users can also transfer NFTs via our main bridging interface, but a widget is easier – and the project can market it as a product that brings extra value. 

With NFT Moon Metaverse, we started out with Polygon as the departure chain and Harmony, BSC, and Avalanche as destination chains. Each of them has an active NFT community and low fees – all important factors if you want to build awareness and expand the community. 

However, when it came to actual metaverse-building, we suggested the NFT Moon team consider another partner chain that we recently integrated: SKALE Network.

The advantages of building on SKALE

SKALE Network is an Ethereum-native interoperable blockchain optimized for Web3. It has a scalable modular architecture and can support an unlimited number of individual chains that benefit from shared security. SKALE’s token is sFUEL.

A team can deploy a new blockchain on SKALE in minutes. The capacity of each chain is around 120 TPS, and since individual chains don’t compete for resources, the total processing capacity of SKALE is 120 multiplied by the number of chains. With 100 chains, you get 12,000 TPS, with 1,000 you get 120,000 TPS, and so on. So far the ecosystem has around 30 chains.

Almost unique among smart contract platforms, SKALE has zero gas fees. It also offers near-instant finality (transactions are confirmed in under a second) and even supports on-chain file storage.

The best use cases for SKALE Network are NFTs, gaming, metaverses, DeFi, DAOs, and Web3 creator economy (decentralized content streaming, social networks etc.). It already has an emerging SKALEverse ecosystem, including a dedicated NFT hub, Calypso. XP.NETWORK recently announced a mainnet integration with SKALE. 

XP.NETWORK assists with NFT Moon’s expansion to SKALE

SKALE Network seemed like a great home for an ambitious metaverse like NFT Moon. Besides, the blockchain has a $100 million ecosystem fund that awards grants to the best projects. After an introduction facilitated by XP.NETWORK, NFT Moon Metaverse successfully obtained a grant and officially became part of the SKALEverse.

The next step was to enable NFT bridging to SKALE. This we did a few days ago, and now you can  easily transfer NFT Moon ID cards, avatars, and plots from Polygon to SKALE (see the video tutorial here). You’ll first need to add SKALE to MetaMask first using the following parameters:

• Set SKALE as the destination chain
• Connect to the bridge with a Polygon wallet
• Pick an NFT Moon Metaverse NFT (or several) to be bridged
• Enter an address on SKALE (with MetaMask it will be the same as your Polygon address)
• Review the fees (remember that SKALE doesn’t charge gas fees, but Polygon does)
• Confirm. In a minute, your avatar, ID card, or plot should appear in the SKALE wallet.
