About SKALE

SKALE is the 17th chain that we integrate into the bridge – and one of the most interesting. It’s an Ethereum-native (and thus EVM-compatible) network that can be scaled automatically by adding nodes.

Each new node can create its own chain with a capacity of around 120 TPS; the chains form a modular structure where the overall TPS is limited only by the number of chains. SKALE is also one of the few blockchains to have instant block finality, meaning that a transaction is confirmed just as fast as a bank card payment.

The chains also enjoy shared security through a set of validator nodes, making SKALE highly resistant to attacks and outages.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly for NFT collectors, Skale doesn’t charge any fees. This means that even such resource-intensive operations as NFT minting are free for the end users.

There are already 28 active SKALE chains and over 150 validator nodes. More than 60 dApps and protocols form part of the SKALEverse ecosystem, with quite a few NFT partnerships, such as Calypso, Prospectors, and NFTrade.

Bridging NFTs to and from SKALE

Once SKALE is added to the list of supported networks on the Bridge page, you will be able to send any NFT between SKALE and any other blockchain on the list, be it BSC, Elrond, or Tron. While there will be no fee for the transaction on SKALE itself, the bridging operation will be subject to a fee on the second blockchain, plus a small fee charged by the bridge validators.
